Even the weather cooperated. On an unusually warm March weekend, Green Fingers Garden Club of Greenwich once again gave us a touch of Spring with its bi-annual Preview of Spring Flower Show. Held March 6th and 7th in the First Presbyterian Church, this year’s theme was THE GREENHOUSE Protected Environment.

Focusing on our precious environment, the show featured over 50 exquisite flower arrangements and 173 unique plants propagated or grown by knowledgeable garden club members. In addition, there was a wonderful Photography Exhibit with the themes “Green-The Color of Life” and “Horticultural Havens-From Connecticut to Katmandu”. Special honors went to Mr. Sam Bridge, age 94, for his lifetime of contribution to the horticultural education and beautification of Greenwich.
