Even the weather cooperated. On an unusually warm March weekend, Green Fingers Garden Club of Greenwich once again gave us a touch of Spring with its bi-annual Preview of Spring Flower Show. Held March 6th and 7th in the First Presbyterian Church, this year’s theme was THE GREENHOUSE Protected Environment. |
Focusing on our precious environment, the show featured over 50 exquisite flower arrangements and 173 unique plants propagated or grown by knowledgeable garden club members. In addition, there was a wonderful Photography Exhibit with the themes “Green-The Color of Life” and “Horticultural Havens-From Connecticut to Katmandu”. Special honors went to Mr. Sam Bridge, age 94, for his lifetime of contribution to the horticultural education and beautification of Greenwich. |
