The Cancer Research Institute hosted “Through the Kitchen Dinner,” a culinary experience that took guests through the kitchen of the renowned Four Seasons Restaurant in New York City. As in past years, famed event designer DeJuan Stroud planned a décor tour-de-force to rival his previous creations for this must-attend event. This year’s “Museums of New York City” dinner featured sumptuously decked tables—including the Intrepid in the middle of The Four Seasons' Pool Room—celebrating NYC’s cultural institutions. It was a stunning evening as NYC society assembled to raise money to support the Irvington Institute Postdoctoral Fellowship Program of the Cancer Research Institute.

The mission of the Cancer Research Institute (www.cancerresearch.org) is to support and coordinate laboratory and clinical efforts that will lead to the immunological treatment, control, and prevention of cancer. The distinguished scientific advisors of the Cancer Research Institute believe that the immune system holds the key to conquering a disease that touches half of all men and a third of all women. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Irvington Institute Postdoctoral Fellowship Program of the Cancer Research Institute, which supports postdoctoral fellows conducting research in immunology. Their basic discoveries provide the foundation for advanced clinical applications like cancer vaccines and antibody therapies that benefit cancer patients.
