If there is just one secret to happiness in life it is likely to be the dessert. In every corner on earth since the hunter-gatherer phase of human evolution, dessert is the final perfect moment of the meal and is a raison d’être in itself. The simple idea of dessert evokes thoughts of harmony, sweet sensations, and bliss-tinged satisfaction. More than any other culinary invention, it is delightedly personal while at the same time being the symbol of celebration and sharing. It is undeniably a true and natural art.

Macarons Maison

In the style of the world famous Paris version, we present some extremely eye pleasing macarons. They have always been irresistible and are light and crispy, yet chewy with luxurious and harmonious fillings. You can eat just one, or perhaps six or seven in one go. Your decision of the day is to choose from different flavors and different colors according to your fancy. The heart-shaped ones at Mother’s Day are quite a knockout by the way.

This is one to make the others jealous. We mean desserts that is. Wrapped in a beautiful box of white and dark chocolate, this gem shows off delicious, soft chocolate and nut flavors, light but satisfying. Lemon Meringue Tart

Everyone can claim this dessert as their own, from the Medieval Europeans to our Southern States. What they don’t probably have is a lovely lemon meringue tart with such a soft and pleasing meringue topping and enticing lemony filling. As the lemon melts slowly on your tongue the meringue says “me too”, as they both entertain your palette with citron style.

The Louvre has theirs and we have ours. When you look at her, this lady smiles at you with the knowledge of her melting-soft meringue topping and passion fruit mousse. You stop to admire her. Sweet and light to the taste, you think you know her but she’s still keeping some secrets, like la Joconde. Art appreciation is one of our favorite things.
