The Allan Houston Legacy Foundation hosted a benefit at the home of former two-time NBA all-star and captain of the New York Knicks Allan Houston and his wife Tamara. The private fundraiser was attended by influential residents of the community as well as stars from the world of professional sports and entertainment. CBS anchor, Maurice DuBois hosted the event and an energetic game of “Beat the Pro” against Allan Houston was hosted by basketball legend Walt “Clyde” Frazier. Also in attendance: former NY Knicks John Starks, current Knicks star Jared Jeffries, NY Jets D’Brickashaw Ferguson, former Knicks player and current assistant coach Herb Williams, NY Knicks Coach Mike D’Antoni, president of Basketball Operations for the NY Knicks Donnie Walsh and Deputy NBA commissioner Adam Silver.

Founded in 2001, The Allan Houston Legacy Foundation is committed to facilitating individual and collective growth through initiatives that – restore a strong family unit; provide economic empowerment through entrepreneurship; encourage education and life skill development; as well as enhance spiritual growth. The foundation’s programs include – the successful “Father Knows Best “ Basketball Tour, which provides opportunities for father-sons and mentor-mentees to strengthen their relationships through high-powered basketball and dynamic learning sessions; and the Business Education & Development Program, providing aspiring entrepreneurs with six-months of training, mentoring, business plan writing, and launch support.
