As China continues to evolve into a global economic powerhouse, many analysts feel the once-poverty stricken nation has the strength to overtake the United States as the world’s largest economy.
Perhaps no one knows more about Chinese culture and economic strategy than Dr. Henry Kissinger. More than 300 people filled the Greenwich Hyatt Regency’s Grand Ballroom on Nov. 4, to hear the former Secretary of State and Nobel Peace Prize winner’s expert perspective on the global impact of China’s emerging economy.
Fresh off his 40th trip to China, Dr. Kissinger offered suggestions on how the U.S. can keep pace with China, the importance of continued U.S./China relations and discussed points outlined in his latest book, On China.
The event raised more than $95,000 for Family Centers’ 30 health, education and human service programs.
Family Centers’ Luncheon with Dr. Henry Kissinger was generously sponsored by Garrett & Mary Moran, Connecticut Community Bank, Alexander Host Foundation, Tom & Brooke Ashforth, Bob & Jan Dilenschneider, Patti & Eric Fast, John & BK Bates, Siguler Guff & Company, Wells Fargo, Hearst Media Services and WGCH.
