On November 3rd, over 40 friends and supporters of Audubon gathered for an evening of "Feathers and Fashion" at the Greenwich Carlisle Showroom on Greenwich Avenue to enjoy wonderful company, view beautiful festive fashion ensembles for the fall and holiday seasons, and to learn more about how Audubon protects and preserves the ecology of the Long Island Sound. With 10% of the nation's population living within 10 miles of the Long Island Sound and its watershed stretching from NJ to Canada, this estuary is one of the most important ecosystems in the United States. Understanding how important this work is, Carlisle made a commitment to support Audubon's work by donating a portion of purchases made by Audubon supporters to this critically important work. In fact, last month Carlisle also held a similar event in their NYC penthouse showroom in partnership with Audubon to encourage supporters in NYC to step out and shop for the cause.

Carlisle's Director of Merchandising Luann Sampson led an amazing set of models wearing the must-have looks for the season from every day to evening out attire.
As John Hannan, Audubon's Director of Development in CT commented, "We are always humbled at how much support we muster from the community at large so it was very satisfying to see a large turnout despite weather and the challenge of everyone having very busy lives these days. It is a testament to the integrity of both Audubon, with our century long record of protecting the environment, and the 30 year history of Carlisle designing collections and wardrobing woman who are leaders, visionaries, and the pillars of our communities."
"It was delightful to meet so many men and women who are busy with family, philanthropy and business. At Carlisle we strive to be that special place that erases the stress around shopping, and we're looking forward to seeing many of the Audubon women back in the showroom in these coming weeks to give them the royal treatment," said Carlisle's Director of Business Development, Reed McMillan.

"It was a perfect evening. Like Audubon, Carlisle is known for their first-class focus on doing things extremely well. These are two organizations that have built a reputation and a base of loyalty and that was truly felt during the evening's festivities with many women so pleased to have customized attention in preparing for the holidays," says Hannan.
