Sally and I spent a week with a group of photographers at a very special hacienda in central Mexico just about halfway between two cities San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato. The group was led by Eddie Soloway (www.eddiesoloway.com) who is based in Santa Fe, New Mexico and holds photography workshops around the country. Once you take one of his workshops - you are invited to go on a number of trips that he plans just for his alumni. This particular photography trip was only available to his alumni. But I highly recommend Hacienda Las Trancas, particularly for a group of 15 or so. The accommodations are spectacular and the food is outstanding! Check it out on the web: www.haciendalastrancas.com. People ask about safety, I felt more safe in the small cities of central Mexico than I would here at home.

One day we asked the head "cowboy" to run the horses in the corral. It was the end of the day and the sunlight and flying dust made for some dramatic shots. My other photos emphasize the beautiful colors of Mexico.
